Welcome to Social Media Marketing Winter 2018

Greetings Class!
Welcome to Social Media Marketing -Winter 2018.  I'm thrilled to be your instructor for this course.  I go by my middle name, Jeannette and my last name is pronounced Gu-nard.  Most of my students call me Dr. G, and you can too.  
Class officially starts on January 11, 2018 and ends on March 14th.  Please be sure to carefully review the course syllabus for a general idea of the class and I will also be providing details within Moodle each week. For this class you will have the opportunity to take on the role of a Social Media Marketing Manager.  You will be promoting yourself as a social media marketing expert through the use of a personal blog, personal Facebook page, and personal Twitter account.  I will provide step by step instructions as we progress through the class and through the course lessons.
You will have the option to use existing social media accounts, or you can open new accounts specifically for the use of this class (which is what I would recommend).  Just be sure that you maintain the accounts open until you see your final grades posted.  Finally, keep in mind that the class runs Wednesday through Tuesday.  So this means that the first day of the week will always be a Wednesday and the last day of the week will be Tuesday.

I hope that everyone is doing great.   As we approach the end of the class I wanted to congratulate you on all of your work!  It's been a pleasure to engage with you on social media.  I hope that you enjoyed this unique class too.
